Welcome to Our Savior's Lutheran School's web site and to my home page. My name is Jill Gerberding and I am beginning my 29th year of serving in the teaching ministry. This will be my 9th year at Our Savior's. I have had the oportunity to serve in a variety of capacities at O.S. including teaching and coordinating technology grades K-8, teaching 6-8 P.E., serving as assistant principal, and now serving as Principal.
I grew up in the Lutheran school system in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. I received my B.S. in education at Indiana State University, and then my master's degree at Illilnois State. At University of Illinois Springfield, I earned my K-12 administration degree. I am married and have three daughters; all have graduated from Our Savior's Lutheran School.
This begins my second full year as principal. Administration is not totally new to me. Previously while serving in the public schools I have held the positions of Athletic Director, Adminstrative Assistant, and Assistant Principal. Working with the teachers and staff members of Our Savior's is a wonderful experience. The staff is dedicated to teaching God's Word as well as providing an excellent curriculum to all ages and grade levels. Our Savior's is a wonderful, caring school family.
It's a privelege to work with each and every child here at Our Savior's. Every child is a gift from God. I will do my best to find ways to help each child learn academically, physically, socially, and spiritually; both for their earthly life and also for eternity.
